Absentee owner

An absentee owner is a property owner whose mailing address differs from the property's address, meaning they don't live in the home. Absentee owners often hold rentals, inherited property, or second homes, which makes them more likely to sell. An out-of-state owner is a stricter case: their mailing state differs from the property's state.

How Subdivvy calculates this

Subdivvy flags absentee owners by comparing each owner's mailing address to the property address, and marks out-of-state owners when the mailing state differs from the property's state. Both feed the motivation score.
